Murtagh Seafoods was created after I was made redundant from Kershaws seafoods of Southport.

We worked hard and established our brand adding the unique Ocean and Seagle logo,to make our brand stand out.

Myself and my partner Margaret had just completed our intermediate food safety certificate. On the 1st of June
2003 I was made redundant.Margaret and I set about Establishing Murtagh Seafoods.

We have worked hard together and established our brand.

1st April 2006 we moved our production to our new factory, that was specially designed with the help of sea/fish for our production needs.

Margaret being a draughtsperson was able to adopt her new role as production manager and has learnt new skills. She was able to put her own skills to the drawings and design of our food room and factory with knee operated taps and all the trappings that a large company may have.We established our new factory and set about getting an EC approval this was a difficult process Cannock being 100 miles from the nearest sea shore. With the support of our EHO in cannock we have our approval to pack and repack Seafood products.We have recently extended that approval to pack Pork pies .Cheese and Pickled eggs. Our approval no is EC 012CK
